It is often recommended to use an ethical problem solving model to make decisions where two values clash where you can critically look at alternative solutions and the consequences to all stakeholders. After doing this, you might DECIDE that you could not quit or confront your employer's view because it would have too many consequences for you and your family e.g., living expenses, mortgage, etc. And, you might decide that the difference is something you can conscionably live with. So you might go along or ignore the difference.

However, in another situation, it might be so far from your own moral convictions that you could not agree to it, so you might decide to confront he employer or give your resignation in some cases e.g. illegal behaviors.
