The most effective retention program I have seen involved the management meeting regularly with members of the workforce. In these meetings there were discussions on the current state of the company and the needs of the company. Ideas were discussed about how to reach goals and make improvements and those doing the actual work were involved. This type of interaction within the company, especially one of the size of RSR, was unusual. Not all of management participated, but it was especially in the financial and accounting sections this was most productive. ...
