Services once were neglected in operations mangement studies. manufacturing dominated. Why did OM develop earlier and more extensively for manufacturing than for services? Explain using examples of two different services.

Services are defined as those economic activities that typically produce an intangible product such as education, delivery services, health services and entertainment.
