Participative management is where managers encourage their employees to make decisions that would have otherwise been made by managers. By allowing employees to make decisions you are saying you value their judgment. This creates good team work and builds a resilient worker. Resilient workers in turn are more productive, provide excellent customer service both internally and externally, and reduce cost overall.
