1. How best to identify high potential employees and prepare them to assume top management positions
High potential employees can be selected by identifying the early to mid-level career employee who show great leadership potential. The second stage is to use evaluation tools like performance appraisals metrics, skill defining tools and feedback to appraise these employees. Finally, the employees that have all the required skills in important roles should be selected.
These high potential employees are developed by giving them challenges to stretch their skills and knowledge, they must be given freedom to exercise their skills and initiative and they should be recognized when they overcome challenges successfully.
These high potential employees should be encouraged to develop employees, and transform the employees and their skills to meet the business needs of Alcatel. These high potential employees should be assigned projects that give them opportunities to use their training and knowledge. They should also be posted in different ...
