ANSWER:
It is not easy to accuse a person of something, particularly misconduct in research, unless it is evidence-based. Before accusing him, I should determine first whether there have been rights of the subjects/respondents violated. These rights are indicated below:
1. Informed consent
The respondent must have been informed of the purpose or objective of the research. Of course, in the first place, the objective must be legal and in compliance to the norm in the place where the research will be conducted. The research would be legal when it will not be violating any provisions in the constitution. In compliance to the norm would mean in compliance to what is moral or ethical in a particular society. What may be ethical in one society may not necessarily be ethical in another. Hence, basically, the legality and ethical issues are primary conditions in the conduct of research.
