While productivity has improved due to automation, the measures of productivity have changed from the traditional measure of man hours as they relate to output. In today's world productivity now increases as the human contribution is reduced. Because of the benefit of cost saving and lower prices being passed on to the consumer, automation is being employed by major employers.
