Introduction

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) used to focus on the economic as well as political integration of the member countries. The rationale behind its establishment was to develop a trading channel without any kind of tariffs and barriers. The agreement assisted the member countries in supporting the trade agreements, by providing subsidies, anti-dumping and safeguarding the standards of trade. The NAFTA conferences held by the member countries that promote the trades between the countries along with the treaties defined between the different countries (Hufbauer, Schott & Dunnigan, 1993).
