    You want to prove that the drug is effective with α=.05.

    Calculate the following

    1) Mean and standard deviation for each sample.
    2) Since it is a small sample we will use the t-distribution, so you have to use the formula for degrees of freedom ( page 409).
    3) State H0 and Hα.
    4) Calculate the t - statistic.
    5) Find the critical value.
    6) State your case whether there is enough evidence to support the claim.
