Here is how to add a regression line to a chart in Excel:

1. You need to create the chart, then click somewhere in the chart to highlight all four corners,
2. Click on "Chart", then "Add Trendline",
3. Click on "Linear" chart type, to add the line, then
4. Go back to "Chart", and "Add Trendline" again and click on "Options" then click "Display equation on chart" to show the equation on the chart.
