I am having trouble really understanding how to complete the correlation analysis. Can someone show me how step by step?
I am to figure out how to perform a correlation analysis on the following, with regards to John's fishing trips.
John is an avid fisherman and wants to know if there is a correlation between the amount of time he spends fishing and the amount of fish he catches. He decided to keep track of the time he spent at the lake and the amount of fish he caught. The results were as follows:
Week 1 2 3 4 5 6
Hours at lake 2 3 2 1 4 5
Fish caught 5 5 4 3 6 9
I have to use the hours spent as the X variable, and the number of fish caught as the Y variable then develop r and r2, standard error of the estimate, and confidence interval for the data and interpret the results but I really need help on this showing me step by step on how to do this.
