Political Affiliations and Post Hoc Analysis

Using the data attached, help with the following.

Determine whether an individual's satisfaction with the economy differs across the various political affiliations, using the levels of Republican, Democrat, and others (e.g., Independents and Undeclared).

Use the proper df and show all the steps of calculations.
Explain how the critical value is determined. Interpret the results on the basis of the comparison of the test statistic to the critical value. Interpret the significance of the results and explain whether an individual's satisfaction with the economy depends on his or her political affiliation.

Conduct a post hoc analysis to determine which comparisons contributed to the results. Be sure to explain which post hoc test you chose and why and show all the steps of your calculations.

Interpret the use of an ANOVA with a post hoc test compared to the use of multiple t-tests. Explain which would have been more appropriate in this situation and why.

Compile your calculations and analysis in a 2- to 3-page Microsoft Word document.

Solution Summary

This solution is comprised of a detailed explanation of One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Post Hoc Analysis. This solution mainly discussed the question in which we defined null and alternative hypothesis, calculating the test statistics and p-value and provided the decision about the null hypothesis. The analysis is done using Minitab software and full interpretation is provided for the output including Post Hoc Analysis.
