    One of the most important widely spread and renewable resource is the ground water. It is known that only 2.8% of the present water is fresh and among which 20% is from ground water and around 97.2% of the available water is the salty water. The ground water is considered to be the least polluted as compare to the inland water, however, some of the studies indicated that the even the ground water is not completely free from the pollutants but free from the suspended solids because the natural water resources are getting populated because of rapid growth of population, industrialization and urbanization which has caused the interference with the natural resources. It is very difficult restore the quality of the water once the ground water is contaminated.

    There are several factors because of which the quality of the water can deteriorate and there is no straightforward reason for the deterioration of the water quality. The water quality is indicated by the combined effect of the inter-relationship of the different parameter and there is a strong correlation among the different parameters.
