IV: AgeYMO- Age Group
Groups were divided by Age- Young, Middle, Older and coded as follows:
Young=0
Middle= 1
Older= 2

Follow these steps to get the mean of each group:
a. To get the mean of the Young age group, you have to filter the AgeYMO variable. To do this, go to Data, Select Data on the Select Cases interface click If Condition is Satisfied. Click the If... button. Select the AgeYMO and type the code for Young which is 0. This will appear as AgeYMO=0. Click the Continue button (in the "Select cases if" interface). Click again the Continue button (in the "Select cases" interface).

You will note in the Data view that only cases that are classified as "Young" are selected.

In this case you can compute exclusively the mean of this group. Go to Analyze, Descriptive Statistics, Descriptives move the OUTTVH variable to the variables box. Be sure to click the Option button and select Mean. Click the Continue button. Click the OK button.
