The two that I have chosen are:

1.) Evaluation of the Head Start program found that graduates as young adults performed better in school, were more interested in going to college, and were less likely to get into criminal difficulty than persons with similar backgrounds who were not in Head Start. Whatever the limitations of the Head Start program, it made the following contributions:

a. It strengthened the legitimacy of early interventions
b. It supported the value of day care
c. It improved nutrition and health care for young children and enhanced parental involvement in education.

2.) The poverty rate was reduced from 22 percent in 1960 to 11.2 percent in 1974.
