The reason for this view is that Psychology's major concepts are concerned with human cognitive, emotional and behavioral practices focused on understanding how the body and mind relate to specific processes. These processes are different for individuals and specific groups. Thus, when attempting to understand the influence of diversity on major psychological concepts, sociological, psychological and cultural factors must be taken into account. For example, on studies concerned with diversity issues environmental and genetic influences should be included in research initiatives.

In addition, consider the concept of behavioral outcomes. While general psychology is concerned with how humans and animals behave, the diverse views on human behavior from another perspective may influence the perception of the how and why of behavior. For instance, viewing basic processes of the brain from the perspective of Physiological psychology will influence the perception of the relationship between the brain and behavior. This information in turn will influence how brain processes are used to understand the structure and function of the nervous system focused on understanding functions such as (a) sensations, (b) muscle movements, (c) thought processes, and (d) reasoning and memory". To understand the influence of the brain on neural processes, it is necessary to study the brain from neuroscience.
