Psychology is the study of the human mind and behavior so that we can figure out why people think, feel and do what they do. It is similar to the natural sciences in that the same methods are used. Psychologists, especially in research will use the scientific method and empirical studies to do their work. There is also a difference between psychology and the natural sciences in the sense that psychologists also focus on mental life as well as studying human behavior. Psychology is similar to the social sciences because they both focus on people. However social sciences will focus more on the group and group dynamics rather than the individual.
