When a block of ice with temperature is less then 0OC (negative) is placed in a pot and heated, with a thermometer to measure the temperature, we notice as the heat is supplied the temperature of ice increases till it reaches to 0OC.
As we know that with heat supplied, the temperature of material rises. But after 0OC there is no increase in temperature but ice will start melting. We are continuously supplying heat and still the temperature is not increasing! Where is the heat ...
