Electromagnetic radiation (EMF), electromagnetic fields (EMF), radio frequencies (RF) and Extremely low frequency fields (ELF) have become pervasive with the use of cell phones and wireless technologies. ELF comes from power lines and electrical appliances, RF radiation from cordless phones, cell phones, and cell towers, and EMF is typically the generalized term used when referring to electromagnetic radiation. The long term effects of exposure to these technologies have become a topic of research.
