Order of operations

The steps to the order of operations are simple; just remember "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" : Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication/ Division, Addition/ Subtraction. It is important that we follow these steps because if not then one would get the wrong answer.
For example (incorrect): 70 - 2(5+3); 70 - 2(8); 68(8) = 544
( correct ) : 70 - 2(5+3); 70 - 2(8); 70 - 16 = 54
There is a big difference in the two.
