    Here's what I have so far. I'm writing an equation for a line tangent to the curve
    y = at point P(-1,7). Using the power rule for a negative integer I found

    I'm still having some problems with my derivatives. You can see my work below but I've made a mistake somewhere. I don't need help with anything other than finding f'x
