There are two proposed reasons for a morale problem of the police profession. First, police officers often deal with their clients as adversaries. Second. they are frequently under pressure to service incompatible ends. These two aspects of the role lead to other secondary factors, such as low commitment to the job and a lack of job satisfaction. However morality is not the same as commitment or job satisfaction, but the latter two are strongly correlates with the level of mortality.
