The purpose of the court is to adjudicate cases of misconduct in reference to the law as established by the legislature. In addition, any resolutions that can be provided for pending lawsuits, or any questionable actions that are not defined by current precedent fall within the jurisdiction of the court. The highest court in the land the United States Supreme Court handles many social issues such as abortion and other mandates that set the precedent for lower courts. ...
