This is a complex question because the term "Iroquois" was not used until after 1600, well after the discovery of the New World. Before that, they were six separate nations/tribes that joined together: Mohawks, Cayugas, Oneidas, Onondagas, Senecas, and later, the Tuscaroras, in 1772. Here are some notes on what I would do for each slide:
SLIDE 1:
- List the 5 tribes that make up the league later called "Iroquois," (I would verbally mention the Tuscaroras, but not include them in the list, since they were added post New-World Discovery.
- Show map of location (see last link below)
- All the tribes kept their own languages, though they are closely related
