3. The air strike only hit two of the intended targets.
4. Captain said at two o'clock the platoon would move out.
5. The chow line served the guys in aluminum mess kits.
6. We immediately saw the two tanks that the Mavericks had hit.
7. Running down the trail, Ben's magazine fell from his weapon.
8. To shoot well, a sniper's ammunition must be the same weight.
9. After spending two weeks' leave in Naples, Brad had almost spent five-hundred dollars.

Rewritten: Chief had almost drunk enough beer on behalf of the whole crew.

C 2. He and his wife only slept in king-size beds.

C 3. The air strike only hit two of the intended targets.
F 4. Captain said at two o'clock the platoon would move out.

Rewritten: Captain said the platoon would move out at two o'clock.

Note: The way that this sentence is worded, it appears that the captain made his statement at two o'clock. My impression is that the captain was trying to state the time of departure for the platoon.

F 5. The chow line served the guys in aluminum mess kits.

Rewritten: The guys in aluminum mess kits were served by the employees from the chow line.

C 6. We immediately saw the two tanks that the Mavericks had hit.
F 7. Running down the trail, Ben's magazine fell from his weapon.

Rewritten: While he was running down the trail, Ben dropped the magazine from his weapon.

Note: Ben's magazine doesn't run. Ben is the one that runs.

F 8. To shoot well, a sniper's ammunition must be the same weight.

Rewritten: To shoot well, the sniper must have equally weighted ammunition.

Note: Who does the shooting? The sniper. The ammunition doesn't shoot itself.

C 9. After spending two weeks' leave in Naples, Brad had almost spent five-hundred dollars.
F 10. While riding in the Huey at 500 feet off the deck, the rice paddies looked very placid.

Rewritten: At 500 feet off the ...
