I am trying to find out stresses in a circular hollow tube that is sitting in a V-block and subjected to a vertical point force all along its length.

I have done quite a bit of work but have some doubts about my analysis. The question may not be as straightforward as it seems. Please see the attached WORD file for all the details. The file has all the relevant pictures/diagrams in it.
