Beam deflection and Stress at corner?
Not what you're looking for?
So, how would I set this problem up?
We're asked to determine the deflection of a beam location for a 2000N load. However, the force is directed up the corner NOT centroid. In other words, at beam corner up through the side wall. Kind of like a ledge holding a flower pot.
Given load=2000N, on the tip of a 1m beam. Beam dimensions are H=80mm B=W=40mm and t=thickness of 1.5mm.
