    PH OF A BASIC SOLUTION.
    PH is defined as the negative logarithm of Hydrogen ion concentration. Strength of a base is expressed as the concentration of OH- ions. Therefore PH of a basic solution can be calculated using the relation

    Kw=[H+][OH-]=1x10-14 at 25degree celcius

    PH=-log[H+]

    Problem: Calculate the PH of a solution whose OH- ion concentration is 0.02 M
