    Write a strategic plan. You may choose a health care organization on which you would like to focus or develop a new health care business. Choose something about which you are passionate and may perhaps implement in the future. It is recommended that if you choose to work with an existing organization, you should add a new program or project to your plan. Suggestions for appropriate new projects include a new program or service for an existing organization, a new product line for an existing business, a new joint venture or acquisition, a new health care payer model for a state, or a new health care business.

    - Select a health care organization on which you would like to focus.
    - Research your chosen organization's governing structure.
    - Write a report of your findings in which you answer the following questions:

    o What is the organization's mission and vision? What are the organization's key values?
    What strategic planning model does your chosen organization currently use?
    What is the role of your organization's mission, vision, and values in relationship to its strategic plan?
    o What is the organizational structure of your chosen organization?
    Who are the current key leaders in your chosen organization?
    What change management model does your chosen organization use?
    How much involvement does the governing board have in implementing strategic goals?

    What are the organization's major service delivery and support activities in its value chain? At a minimum, include the following:
    - Location
    - Target market
    - Programs and services
    - Clinical operations
    - Marketing
    - Billing
    - Follow-up
    - Organizational culture
    - Organizational structure
    - Strategic resources

    o How may the organization use its value chain to help implement its strategic plan?
    o Cite at least three sources to support your information.
    o Format your report according to APA standards.

    In 1990, the Memorial Hermann Hospital was created when the two separate hospitals, the Memorial and the Hermann Hospital Systems were joined together. In 1900s, Rev. Denis Pevoto started the Memorial Hospital and the Hermann Hospital was founded by George H. Hermann in downtown Houston. In 1997 when the merger of the Memorial and the Hermann was completed then the name the Memorial Hermann Hospital was used.     Vision: Vision statement shows the ultimate goal i.e. what an organization desire to be. Vision forms a base for inspiration and depicts an optimistic view of the organization in future. Vision of the company is to give extra efforts to educate the people about healthy living and special care of their health. With this, it emphasizes on the problem of people who are not insured. This organization believes in providing the best quality services, world class innovations and materials (used by hospital to teach) in the Texas Medical Center (About Us, 2008).

    Values: There are some core values of the organization, which includes collaboration of other to assess and create best healthcare solutions for the diverse communities. This hospital is dedicated to provide complete cure of back & neck injuries, rehabilitation therapy, neurological therapy, wound care, etc. to its full service inpatients and outpatients.
