In the establishment of global business venture in China, Google faced legal, cultural and ethical challenges in managing its operations. While managing the business venture in China from US, the company's operations were blocked by the Government due to censorship activities for restricting the availability of revolutionary information on the internet. The information provided on the google web page was also not sufficient for the Chinese customers. The legal framework of Chinese market restricted the operations of Google due to aggressive censoring. It was due to the reason that the company does not have any office in China and the Government does not have any control over its services (Closing Case).

The services of Google were not based on solely the Chinese version. Since the business operations of Google in China were managed from US, it established a gap between the company's operations and Chinese culture. The existence of banned sites blocked by the firewall was showing irrelevant information about the Chinese leaders and ...
