1. Factors: Mobile phone users often give up land lines for the ease of use of mobile phones and to limit the costs of owning phones. Since most mobile phones can access signal from nearly location, the ease of using them has increased. They also include long distance in most plans available today, cutting out yet another costly part of land lines.

One can text from a mobile phone, which is a preferred method of communication for its convenience of use and receiving messages when time permits. One cannot text, (though they can use text to voice for additional fees) to a land line.
