Nothing happens in isolation. When you are learning something new, you bring to mind all of the things you know that are related to that new information. In doing so, you embed the new information into your existing knowledge. Everyone likes to think of memory as this thing that lets us vividly remember our childhoods or what we did last week. But memory is designed to help us make good decisions in the moment and, therefore, memory has to stay up to date. In society today, rest has become hobby and activity behind it might come with reflection. We never take the time to stop or reflect on anything we do, see, feel, or mentally embark on. In an Internet video, Rubin (2013) states that time controls our every move, but we can channel that by controlling the time we used on a basic. Previously, scientists have found that resting the mind - or daydreaming - contributes to strengthening memories of events and the storage of information. However, mental stability and practicing relaxation will help the brain to consolidate memories by improving future learning techniques. Therefore, the power of rest and reflection will enable us to adjust more and think more precise in the decision that we make along with inheriting design thinking for future innovations.
