1. Research studies have shown that partnerships and alliances have become one of the necessary elements to ensure that an organization continues to be successful. The promotion of partnerships, alliances, and networks can improve the efficiency of the system of science as a whole (e.g., public science policies and how to implement them effectively). Although partnerships and alliances have been practiced for a long time, there are still many issues concerning its implementation that need attention. Among them are their legalities, data and information security, necessary incentives, protection, and more.
The government needs to utilize the R&D and support it by encouraging with the department and collaborating with them on the appropriate social goals that can help improve society by attending to social problems. It needs to clarify which alliances have the potential to bring success and how the government are going to support these alliances.
In the private sector, various companies have already formed partnerships and alliances such as Daimier AG (biggest truck manufacturer) having aligned with Foton for the purpose of building Mercedez-Benz trucks in China and to sell their products in that country. Among the benefits of strategic alliances are offering new products to customers, gaining access to new customers, and utilizing network in expanding their suppliers.
