Leaders and supervisors both play an important role in organization; they share number of attributes but differ in number of different ways as well. Supervisors can perform leader's job but leaders do not have to be supervisors. Supervisor's responsibilities include job specific administrative and technical tasks that require certain amount of expertise in a specific field in an organization. Supervisor ensures timely completion of a task and the manner it was supposed to be completed.
