The main differences between reliability and validity are that reliability refers to the degree to which the test produces stable and consistent results. The consistency is determined through repeated application. Reliability means that unsystematic errors of measurement are low. In simple terms, it means that repeated measures would give similar results. Reliability is the extent to which a variable is consistent with what they measure.
