This is still a problem in the workplace for a number of reasons. One, people are stubborn and do not want to change their leadership style in order to empower their employees to speak up about harassment and discrimination. Two, those that are in management may not know how to handle the situation if it should arise when they least expect it. Three, everyone does stereotype those that look good or are different, and end up hurting others and do not know how to stop this behavior. Four, those in management may not have the social skills to treat others equally, and are not aware of themselves and those around them based off what they say and do on a regular basis without having counseling.
