There are two situations. First, your company is also located in Florida or your company is not located in Florida. If your company is not located in Florida, then your company has to file a suit in the district court where the trial will be held. The logic is that since both the parties are citizens of different states the dispute is under the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court. If the decision of the Federal District court is appealed against, the court of appeal will be the US Court of Appeals.
