It seems that power is distributed in the U.S. political system in a somewhat stratified manner. This essentially means that this political power at the top of the US political system is divided between the President/executive branch, Congress/legislative branch, and the Supreme Court/judicial branch. This is a major component of how power is distributed in the U.S. political system due to the fact that although these are branches of government, each of these branches also supports a political agenda based upon the party which their members belong. For example, if the president is a Democrat, Congress is majority Democratic, and the Supreme Court justices are majority Democrats, then the Democratic political agenda ...
