Ethical behavior and actions are extremely critical when conducting research because of numerous reasons. First of all, it is essential to pursue research ethically and as per ethical code of conduct and guidelines to not only ensure fairness, integrity and transparency of research, but in many circumstances, to avoid regulatory actions as well. For example, we have to use published data and findings of other researchers during course of study. Such published or secondary research data should be carefully used and due credit/citations should be provided for such resources in the report to ensure that no regulations are being violated and due credits are given to the original researcher. Secondly, it is also necessary that due permission should be obtained ,wherever necessary, before using such data or other information in the research.

Ethical behavior and ethical actions ensures the integrity of the research to end users or customers. Further, it also provides transparency to the whole process.
