I have identified three trends and challenges for HRM. Could you assist me develop team strategy to meet these? I have listed my trends and challenges for HRM that I am going to use.

These are the three trends or challenges:

- One challenge for HRM is keeping up with the social world. With more and more people going to social media, boundaries need to be set as far as what is appropriate and what is not appropriate for employees. They are however making a trend to recruit and network online.

- The economy is a big challenge for HRM. With so many people being unemployed, HRM are getting a slew of people who are either overqualified or under qualified but applying because they are desperate for a job. HRM is also seeing an increase in unemployment benefits to be paid. They also have to be concerned with the existing employees that have more work due to the layoffs.

- A new trend for HRM is monitoring work at home employee's utilizing new technology. A lot of companies are experimenting or allowing employees to work from home. HRM are able to set up offsite connections and communicate with employees via skype, email, phones, etc.

The Human Resource department will need to create a strategy that includes the creation of a network monitoring, social media monitoring and embracing the social media for recruitment. The Human Resource department should create a policy that all network communication will be monitored and should not be private. All network communication includes email, coping and deleting data to/on the network and company computers located at an employee's home. Next, all social media websites will be monitored for employee statements about the company. The only persons authorized to make a statement about the company is the President, Vice President and Marketing Director. Employees are required to refer outside persons or entities to speak to the authorized people only. Also, an employee is not allowed to use the company's name in reference to any endorsement of a person, entity or product. Finally, the Human Resource department will use social media as a vehicle to recruit and retain new employees.
