Actual Costs and Benefits of Rail Tunnel Project
The project for the development of rail tunnel is crucial for connecting two marketplaces with short traveling time and distance. There is a hill that comes in the way of rail track between two cities that are engaged in exchanges of different kinds of products with each other. The existing way to connect both the cities and is 250 miles in length as it goes around the hill to the other city. However, with the tunnel going through the hill, the distance between the two cities will be reduced to 5 miles (Roach, 2008).
The project of the development of rail tunnel is useful to save a lot of cost for fuel used for traveling between two cities in case of the existing way. The estimated costs for the development of the rail tunnel will be around $2.5 million. The cost of the rail tunnel is genuine against the current cost of fuel to connect both the cities for business and non-business purposes.
