Can someone please provide some assistance with a post. Its for an MBA course. It needs to be between 350 and 450 words or so. How does your ED lead the board? Please describe how the ED in your organization exercises leadership for the board. You may want to think about the board meetings and what happens at the meeting. Does the ED and board chair have a close relationship? Have you noticed the nature of the relationship changed when board chairs changed? Our ED is the chairman, so board members are led by the executive director. The ED has control of the operations and day to day running of the for profit business and then is the chairman of the board of the foundation. The ED of the foundation is the co-owner of the for profit, but is seldom involved with the running of either. It is more of a title than operations based. She is a busy person who teaches at the local university and also oversees the department of the business that handles job training for the clients. Sometimes she is the actual job coach for new or difficult clients.
