    A regular employee is under the direct supervision of an employer or organization. The company has control over an employee and everything that he/she does in the workplace. An employee receives instructions from someone else concerning the work, which work should be done and how it must be done and the organization provides the equipment and tools that are needed by the employee. An independent contractor has majority of control of the way he does his work and the result of his/her work as the employer only tells him/her the details of the expected outcome.
