The main purpose of the exercise is to help make a connection between different governance elements (e.g., board composition, equity holdings by directors, executive compensation) and a firm's financial performance. Each student is asked to prepare no more than a TWO PAGE graphical comparison of performance that addresses the following questions (You could use a chart format):

First and foremost, I will provide a general overview of the two companies and their governance structure, but (you) will need to put my summary in your own words and create your own graph or chart as this cannot be done for you. The two companies that were chosen are Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. These two companies are leaders in the coffee market and they have locations all across the globe. I will first elucidate upon Starbucks' corporate governance model.
