This is an important subject. Illegal practices that include bribery are practiced all over the world. Much of bribery is a cultural phenomenon in the global community. Many of these companies are tempted to offer bribes to complete projects in a foreign country. However, the research I've completed validates that a company should follow the same rules as when doing business in their home country. Refusing bribes sets up a standard for developing countries, offering bribes reduces the important trust factor, encourages inhuman treatment of employees, encourages reward for violence, hurt long-term profits, and encourages a volatile market.
