You overhear Dave telling Joan, "Oh, that's Dr. Smith's way of writing 'every day.'" Even though this was not a patient care note, you are concerned that Dr. Smith's abbreviations might cause problems running a busy office and possibly even with patient care. HOLDING PEOPLE IN CERTAIN PROFESSIONS
Yes people in certain professions have to observe higher standards of legal accountability and responsibility. For example, there are several criteria for National Health Care Cluster Foundation Standards related to different areas. There are standards for academic foundation, communications, systems, employability skills, legal responsibilities ethics, safety practices, teamwork, maintenance practices, technical skills and information technology applications.
