How do you help the people in your organization avoid this problem and move on to actually make a decision?
I help the people in my organization first determine the need for information and analytical results, for instance the HRM requires employee performance analysis only once a year to give yearly bonuses, increments and promotions. Starting from that point, I ensure that performance analysis is done only one a year. Similarly, the Sales VP of my company requires the analysis of the performance of sales managers only once a month. So the analysis of sales performance is done once a year. There is no analysis paralysis in my company because the analysis is done only to the extent required by the company. Nobody waits for analysis results, the results are ready before the day the decision has to be made.
