According to MMC Learning, distribution is very important in the marketing mix because it is one of the determinants of sales and revenues. If the product is not available, there is nothing to sell and customers don't usually wait. Distribution greatly affects the profit and competitiveness because the channel also affects the price of the products. If the distribution costs are high, then it follows that the cost competitiveness and profits are affected due to the squeezing of the margins. Distribution affects customer satisfaction and this is very crucial. Goods must be delivered on time and appropriately as per customer's specifications. Decision regarding the physical distribution of the products is a major strategic one and it can better contribute to the marketing mix if the channels are united and cooperative with each other and be able to develop a long-term working relationship with each other. Strategic alliances and partnerships benefit much if they are based on trust and cooperation. The proper control of the distribution of the product from the producer to the customer can greatly affect the success in the marketplace.
