A new species may evolve if reproductive isolation occurs. If for whatever reason, reproductive isolation does not occur, then a new species will not be created. Speciation can occur through morphological adaptation, behavioral differences, geographic isolation, and sexual selection or girl power.
Many examples of morphological adaptations that can lead to speciation exist in plants. Some plants have flower parts adapted to fit body parts of a specific pollinator. For example, in a given population of organisms there is genetic variation. If I have a favorable mutation that allows me to exploit my ...
This answer will discuss some ways that the process of natural selection may lead to a new species. It also defines the biological definition of a species.
