    Task: Determine the least squares equation. On the basis of this information, what are the estimated sales for 2005?

    Taking 1992 as year 0, we have 1993 as year 1, 1994 as year 2 etc.
    Using Excel, the regression equation is Net Sales = 5713.357576 * Year + (-716.6666667)

    In 2005, the Year = 13
    Net Sales = 5713.357576 * 13 + (-716.6666667) = $73556.9818 million.
